TIPS: Unclog your sink (e.g. kitchen or toilet)

After years of using the sink every single day, a matter of time before there will be potential blockages.

Don't panic; You can fix this quickly. Here are some of the simple DIYs to unclog your sink

Why do you need to fix it?

  1. So that you can use your sink again, back to normal
  2. To avoid a further clog
  3. Avoid pressure on your pipes

What do you need to do? If you encounter a pipe clogged.

  1. Empty the sink or wait until the water dries out (overnight).
  2. Eco-friendly method, use hot water by adding 1 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of vinegar, then pour it into the sink immediately. This mixture will help to flow the pipes and remove minor clogs.
  3. Have a bucket under the 'U' shaped pipe. Slowly open the tube, and most of the will dirt will drop into the bucket.
  4. Start cleaning the drain; we suggest bringing a short hose and trying to break any possible clog that is stuck.
  5. Then, use a small wire brush and clean the gunk out of the drain trap.
  6. Then, use a long hose, insert it into the pipe and clean the pipe accordingly.
  7. If it continues to clog, it's highly possible the clog could be further deep in the pipe. Best to called HANDIBEE.
