Tips: Improve Door Knobs and Hinges

Why do you need to fix it?

  1. To have firm and secure doors.
  2. Avoid getting it worse.
  3. Keep it silent.

So how to do it?

  1. Look at the door and identify which hinge the sound is coming from. Check for hinges with loose and missing screws.
  2. Look at the door knobs that rattle or spin too far. It needs to be lubricated and tightening the screws.
  3. Firstly, tighten and replace all missing screws on the door hinges. Make sure the holes are the correct size.
  4. To lubricate the door hinges, use WD-40; cooking oil or any other lubricant will work fine.
  5. Lubricate the door knob that's hard to turn, spray WD-40 (or lubricant of choice) into the keyhole and push the key in and out. This will spread the oil around.
